Ashgrove Kitchen
A family kitchen rebuilt around one long oak table and a wall of daylight.
The brief
A dark, divided ground floor in a terraced house, and a family that wanted to cook, eat and work in one room.
Our approach
We opened the rear wall to the garden, moved the kitchen to the side, and kept the middle of the room free for a single long table.
Materials
Oiled oak, lime plaster and a terrazzo floor that runs from the hall to the garden step.
